People & Culture Lead (0,6-0,8 FTE)

At DPW we're looking for a People & Culture Lead to join our team.

Part-time · On-Site · Amsterdam

This is a part-time role (0,6-0,8 FTE)! We cannot provide sponsorships for visa.

About the role & DPW

DPW is the global tech ecosystem for procurement and supply chain, connecting startups, tech leaders, enterprises, and investors to accelerate innovation. We bring the full value chain together through events, programs, and experiences that drive meaningful connections and tangible outcomes. Built on collaboration and community, DPW delivers transformational solutions that unlock the power of procurement through digital excellence and sustainability. As a Certified B Corporation®, we are committed to high standards of social and environmental impact, accountability, and transparency.

DPW is looking for a People & Culture Lead who genuinely loves being close to people. This role is about being the one person everyone at DPW can turn to, for questions big and small.

You'll be our only P&C person -besides the interim VP of People- so you'll wear a lot of hats, but nothing here is overly complicated. Our team is small, our processes are straightforward, and we need someone who can keep them running well while being a real thinking partner to our managers, many of whom are leading a team for the first time. In this role, you will be responsible for everything people related at DPW, from onboarding a new joiner to running our performance cycles to keeping leadership updated on what's happening on the ground.

What you do

  • Own the full people experience at DPW. You're the first point of contact for everyone in the building.

  • Partner with our managers, many leading a team for the first time, coaching them through one on ones, feedback, and the trickier people moments. This is where most of your impact shows up.

  • Run our core people operations: onboarding, HRIS, contracts, IND / UWV processes and payroll (largely automated), so everything just works, in line with Dutch Labour Law.

  • Manage employee cases, improving well-being, managing absenteeism or any performance improvement plan.

  • Execute our performance cycles using our existing Career and Growth Framework, keeping timelines fair and on track.

  • Run our engagement surveys and turn the results into a handful of clear, followed through actions.

  • Run recruitment when roles open and bring in an external recruiter for the more complex searches. Either way, you're the point of contact for managers and the Senior Leadership Team on every hiring initiative.

  • Update the Senior Leadership Team regularly on P&C initiatives, connecting them clearly to where we're headed as a company.

  • Depending on the number of days you join us for, keep our office running smoothly and help shape our company moments, all-hands and monthly get togethers, whole team meetings, and the occasional goodbye drinks.

Success looks like: our managers feel genuinely supported, and our people processes run so smoothly that nobody has to think about them. Our culture and people processes are interconnected.

What you bring

Must haves:

  • A few years of experience in an HR or People & Culture role, ideally generalist or business partnering background.

  • You're comfortable being the only P&C person in the building, and you like it that way.

  • Experience coaching, business partnering with managers.

  • Hands on experience with HRIS and payroll processes, even if most of it is automated.

  • Strong communication skills. You're a trusted sounding board at every level, from new joiners to leadership.

  • Structured and organized. You keep things simple and moving, even with a lot on your plate.

  • Happy to work from the office three or four days a week.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience running engagement surveys and turning results into real action.

  • Familiarity with career/ levelling frameworks.

  • Experience in a small or scaling company, supporting first time managers.

What we offer

  • A part-time role, for 3 or 4 times a week.

  • Salary range of 59.000-65.000 based on full-time, a performance bonus.

  • 25 holiday days, collective event recognition

  • A high trust, high ownership team where your work is visible and valued.

  • Be part of a global tech ecosystem and world class events shaping the future of digital and sustainable procurement and supply chain.

  • Monthly team budget to do something fun with your international team representing 20+ nationalities.

  • An office first role, with a welcoming office at WeWork (Weesperstraat)

  • Growth opportunities. As a fast growing company, you grow together with us.

  • Learning and development support, including a training budget.

How we work

We're a high trust, high standards team:

  • We take full ownership of outcomes.

  • We stay curious and close to our people.

  • We build together and back each other.
